This Refund Policy explains how credit balances on resident private accounts are reviewed and refunded by Park Place Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Credit Balance Review
In the event a credit balance exists on a resident’s private account, the account will be reviewed to confirm that all applicable charges have been satisfied.
A credit balance may be eligible for refund only after the following conditions are met:
- All insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and/or third-party payors have processed and paid applicable claims
- No outstanding deductibles, copayments, or resident responsibilities remain on the account
- Account balances comply with applicable state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, or independent living, as applicable
Refund Issuance
Once eligibility has been confirmed and the account review is complete, a refund will be issued by check within 30 days of confirmation.
Refunds may be issued only to one of the following:
- The resident
- The resident’s estate
- The legally authorized responsible party
Refunds cannot be issued to third parties who are not legally authorized to receive funds on behalf of the resident.
Important Notes
Processing timelines may be affected by delays in insurance payments, documentation requirements, or regulatory review. Park Place Nursing & Rehabilitation will make reasonable efforts to process refunds promptly once all conditions are satisfied.
